the so-called Japanese-Marche
Katsu curry chicken with rice
so as to speak, i'm a fan of japanese curry. this dish was fairly average, but still i love it! the katsu was crisp and not too hard. the portions were perfect too. the only down side was that they could have presented the dish in a more appetising way.
just looking at the picture of this beef sukiyaki makes me drool. i'm a sucker for sweet stuff and sukiyaki sauce fits the bill to whet my appetite. i waited for close to ten minutes for the Japanese staff at the sukiyaki counter to prepare this. It's actually my favourite out of the three mainly because a part of me thinks it's a tad healthier. haha
Overall, Shokudo is a nice place if you're looking for japanese fusion kind of food. but there isn't a lot of variety to choose from and some of the prices aren't really justifiable for the quality of the food they produce. dear kept saying that they're just using frozen food to cook, which makes it "non-authentic"? a plus point for the neo-print stations in the restaurant, uber cute(:(:
The bright red colour looks really intimidating but thank god its not as spicy as it looks. lots of tofu inside with prawn , squid and fish cake and crab stick. Nice dish to accompany with the rice we ordered. Only complain is that the prawns inside were tiny and not much of it.
Overall nice place to dine, left full! Service is very casual and friendly in a familyish kind of way. Allowed me to pay thru mastercard even though didn reach their minimum bill requirement too. will be back in the future !
Nestled in a quiet corner of tanjong pagar lies aglio olio bistro, famed for its " singapore styled pasta" , which comes laced with explosive chilli padi! Ambience wise, it was pretty well done as shown in the pic with dim lighting , comfortable and spaced out seats. They offer both indoors as well as al fresco dining but we settled on the former.
Thin crusted pizza with a green curry base. Taste wise, this was kinda strange, not really in a bad way but just... strange. Could not really make out the green curry taste. Think i'll stick with something more conventional the next time. haha

After buying camera , went to hunt for this restaurant which we heard about thru our fav food webbie hungrygowhere.com! This time we were out to savour some turkish fare. After walking round in circles finally found the place, Bussorah Street, just behind the big mosque! Atmosphere was nice , feels different. As for the view (shown below ), beautiful.

Baby had ice cream craving so we went fo the banana split. choc . vanilla . strawberry icecream sandwiched between a banana sliced in half. First bite of the waffle ... lao hong one ! couldn bite thru haha, ok bad start. rest was just walls ice cream i presume with bits of ice inside. But then again cant complain since its just $3. anyways it did satisfy our craving =D Thought of the idea of having a stall in hawker centres which sells ice cream. Could have creations like banana split , sundae , waffles, cones, cup , floats , at hawker prices. Quite a change from the usual ice ka chang and hot deserts , feasible ? dont know but if there was such a stall id probably choose it over ice ka chang hee.
anyway we left FULL . Mak's place is quite a nice place for late night munchies with better than kopitiam food at low prices , lives up to its name of being a hawkerant
