Cafe Del Maar
22nd bday! Baby brought me to Cafe Del Maar in sentosa to celebrate. after a shot 4 mins walk from the tram station we reached our destination! place looked like a resort and thanks to our reservation we got ourself a nice seat in the shelter, beside the pool with a great view of the sea.
Seafood Paella
Tomato rice with seafood!. Not a fan of colored rice, reminds me of fish and co's rice or those rice u find at indian chicken briyani. This was way different though. I like the springy texture and they used medium- short grained rice which i prefer. Ingredients were plenty, prawns , scallop, squid, clams, yummy. Fitting for a meal by the sea~
Roasted Spring Chicken Cant really recall the exact name of the dish. First impression the chicken was pretty small actually hee. But it was nicely cooked, tender and fragrant. Underneath the chicken was choose rice with cheese and bacon! Now that i really loved since ive something for cheeses haha, bacon bits added a nice punch to it yumm.
Raspberry Meringue ( bakerzinn )
weee.. my birthday cake ! this was really unique since it essentially did not have any " cake" in it . 2 pieces of waffle with tons of sweet raspberries and cream inside. Topped with dark chocolate sauce and a block of choco in gold foil! delicious! the 2 of us finished it all by ourselves, yumm.
Settled in at the open area for some drinks and rest/ chilling out. Interestingly there are beds !.Yes BEDS. we picked a quite spot ordered a drink , shirley temple and proceded with cam whoring , opening of presents. and just enjoying the night beach experience.
great birthday spent <3 u honey

Ma Maison * Bugis*
Came here for valentine's dinner after going thru a LONG list of choices for the past 1-2 months.
Met baby at 7.15 pm @ bugis by the time i was starving, decided to head straight down for our dinner. Good thing we had made reservations real early cos there was a sickeningly long queue outside! haha
Ambience wise this place had a very warm and cozy feeling , lighting was appropriately dim , and the decor gave a very cottage homey feeling.
Looked through the menu , interesting dishes! in the end we decided on chasoba salad, beef stroganoff with egg n butter rice, sizzling hamburger steak and for deserts, brownie with ice cream
Chasoba Salad
Generous serving, just nice for 2! ingredients were fresh and the sauce had this familiar tangy taste which we made out to be japanese mayo in the end. delicious! We did a little *lo hei * mixing in all the ingredients and that marked the start of a wonderful dinner.
Beef Stroganoff with Butter rice
We ordered 2 beef dishes, oh well , we don't eat beef that often so its ok ! beef was nice and tender and the buttered rice inside the egg was fragrant without the oily feeling like most buttered rice ive eaten.
Sizzling Hamburger Steak

Heard a lot of rave reviews about this, so was sure to give it a try. It was my favourite of the day, must-try! loved the sauce which is simmered for 28 days, sweet and light. beef was really tender, and didnt have that ' cowish' taste. heard its a blend of 80% beef 20 % pork. hee anyway yummy! Fries were fat and crisp , the way i like it , bet it satisfied my baby's french fry craving.

Brownie with ice cream

Much better than i expected! the brownie was the soft kind, with chockful of walnuts and choco fudge. Ice cream was smooth and creamy. I like how the cold ice cream went with warm choc brownie, d e li ghtful!

one last note the service was really great!

all in all , well satisfied! definitely back for more in the future , cheers!

ChinaTown Food StreetDim sum was from Da Dong, last time i ate from here must have been 10 years ago! its been a long time. Liked the siew mai, m-e-a-t-y without the oily feeling, just like what a good siew mai should be like! Enjoyed the rest of the foods as well --> carrot cake+prawn , popiah, satay, yum!

Maxwell Food Centre

Was looking for deserts to 'cool' down since we were starting to sweat and all. Came across this stall selling pretty unqiue deserts. It looked pretty much like tau huay, but was termed as egg milkcurd! It came in a variety of flavours - original , almond , chocolate, mango and more. We tried the mango flavoured one this time upon reccomendation by the owner. Texture-wise it was in between a mango pudding and a soya beancurd. Nothing really fantastic i'd say, but was a pretty interesting dessert to try and something refreshing to chow on during a hot day.

Seafood Cabana

We were looking for food pretty late at night near my place so we just went opposite Kembagan MRT to grab a late dinner. Settled down at Seng Kee Black Chicken Soup Restaurant, but left eventually since the menu was pretty limited and kind of difficult to order for 2 pax. Seafood Cabana caught our attention with its beach themed decor and we thus decided to have meal there. The walls, the signboard, the chairs and flooring and tables are all made of wood, like something u'd see at the beach. And even better just an arm's reach away was the monsoon drain, acting as a substitute for the sea? haha
Crackers+nuts and lime juices. think this would be a pretty nice hangout for late night soccer matches in a more comfortable setting, compared to the other coffee shops around Hokkien Mee (M)
boy was this huge! barely managed to finish even though we shared. Felt like i stuffed a lot of mee down my tummy ! its been a while since ive eaten hokkien mee ( black kind ) so i pretty much enjoyed this. Came with quite a bit of sotong, fish cake , pork slices, prawn, vegetables as well. But after u've eaten 5++ bowls of it ,it gets sickening=s . anyways at $5.50 , super value for money! cheaper than what u get at hawker for that quantity, roar!
Claypot Tofu
I was expecting the dark sauce kind of claypot tofu actually, but this version turns out pretty good. Pretty light which im really glad since i really wouldn't want to add to the calorie-guilt from the hokkien mee! Ate quite a lot of veges from here! One thing to comment is that they should deep fry the tofu before cooking with the other ingredients to give it that slight crisp.
